I-CARE 365


I-CARE 365 is a 2010 diligent recruitment project administered by the Michigan State Department of Human Services in Oakland County of Lansing, Michigan. The target population of the project includes:

  • Adolescents
  • Juvenile sex offenders
  • Youth in residential treatment settings
  • Youth in psychiatric inpatient settings
  • Children with disabilities or other physical care needs
  • African American children
  • Large sibling groups

The purpose of the project is to promote safety, permanency, and well-being for Michigan’s children and increase positive permanency outcomes for children by:

  • Increasing awareness of the need for resource families
  • Improving timely achievement of permanency goals for children
  • Increasing appropriate placement resources for the targeted population
  • Improving customer service and increasing retention rates among newly recruited resource families
